Math Olympiad/ American Math Competition

The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad – What is it?

We prepare students to take the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad is the largest and oldest mathematics competition in Singapore.  Each year, thousands of students from all over the country take part in SMO.

SMO comprises three sections, Junior, Senior and Open, each of which is open to all pre-university students studying in Singapore who meet the age requirements for the particular section. The competition is held annually, and the first round of each section is usually held in late May or early June. The second round of the Senior and Open round is usually held in late June or early July (usually the first Tuesday of the June Holidays in Singapore).

Singapore-Asia Pacific Mathematical Olympiad  for Primary Schools - What is it?

We prepare students to take the competition organised by Hwa Chong Institution for Primary School Students.

National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore – What is it?

We prepare students to take the competition organised by the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Singapore Mathematical Society.

American Mathematics Competition – What is it?

We prepare students to take the American Mathematics Competition www.unl.edu/amc/  conducted by the Mathematical Association of America.

AMC is dedicated to the goal of strengthening the mathematical capabilities of our youth.  AMC contests can have lasting educational value. Talents will be enhanced if one practices beforehand, by working through previous examinations, by participating in math leagues and, most importantly, by studying mathematics more intensely than one normally does in school.
